My name is Marin Finnerty and am currently a senior at Saint Louis University in Missouri. I am originally from Hingham, Massachusetts. I am studying Communications with a focus in Journalism and Media, and double minoring in Studio Art and Catholic Studies. I have a lot of personal experience with various software engines, writing, and different media forms. I have independently worked on many different projects using Adobe products, Microsoft Office, Wordpress, and more. The role of social media specialist has allowed me to sharpen my skills in social media management, content creation, and community outreach, all while being part of a team that celebrates literature’s impact on society. I am passionate about current trends, style, and fashion. In recent years I have focused on building my own swim instructor business, which helped me master skills I otherwise wouldn't have had the experience to do. I am looking to expand my experience in the communication field and start my journey as a working professional. I am particularly interested in exploring the intersection of journalism, media, and art, and leveraging my diverse skill set to tell compelling stories through different creative mediums. My experience in running a swim instructor business has sharpened my entrepreneurial and leadership skills, and I am eager to bring this practical knowledge into the professional world.
